Ryan McGuire serves as a Managing Director at Westshore Wealth. He began a career in the financial services industry following a career in professional baseball. With a focus on financial planning and wealth management for individuals and families, Ryan especially enjoys developing meaningful relationships with his clients so that he can best serve their unique needs. Ryan’s previous experience includes roles at RGT Private Wealth, Penniall and Associates and LPL Financial. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Ryan enjoyed a 10-year career in professional baseball, playing parts of six seasons in the Major Leagues for the Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Florida Marlins and Baltimore Orioles.
Ryan received his BA in History from the University of California, Los Angeles where he played on the Bruin baseball team and is a member of the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame. Following his professional baseball career, he earned his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA as well as the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation.
Ryan met his wife Kristy (a member of the Women’s Swim Team) in the UCLA dorms freshman year, and they have been married for over 25 years. Ryan and Kristy have three children. Sons Connor and Cade both play baseball in college and daughter Maggie will be swimming in college beginning in the fall of ’23. Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Southern California Baseball ministry and currently resides in Irvine.
